From a routine blood test, to minor surgical procedure, Thomas Memorial Hospital offers a wide array of outpatient services. Outpatient services include blood work, stress testing, x-rays, minor surgical procedures, or diagnostic services including CT scans and MRIs.

If you are coming to Thomas for lab work, outpatient surgery, or other testing, here's where to go:

For lab work, you should go to the Medical Office Pavilion on Vine Street to register during the hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 7:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday. If you arrive outside of those hours, the ER will register you for lab work.

For same day surgery, you should register in the main lobby registration area, from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. Off hours, you can go to the admitting clerk or the ER.

For imaging services, you can register at the main lobby registration area, or if you are having the test at the Thomas Imaging Center, you can go directly there.

MRI is a superior medical imaging technique.  Its capacity to produce images of the internal anatomy in unsurpassed detail is amazing.  At Metro MRI, we offer both High-Field and Open MRI.   Our trained and professional technologists are here to make sure you are comfortable during your exam and to ensure that your experience is as positive as possible.  

Metro MRI is located at the Ashton Place Shopping Center off Corridor G.  We offer patients a friendly atmosphere with convenient evening and weekend hours with free parking.  Our hours are Monday through Friday - 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Directions

From Route 119 (Corridor G):

Take Route 119 (Corridor G) to the Emerald Road Exit.  Turn onto Emerald Road at the traffic light, veer right and then turn left into the Ashton Place Shopping Center.  The Ashton Professional Building will be on your left.  Proceed to the building behind the Professional Building—there is a Metro MRI sign.  Free parking is available in the Kroger parking lot.  There is also a handicap parking space location between Ashton Professional Building and Metro MRI.

From I-64:

Take the Oakwood Exit.  Turn right at the traffic light (at the end of the exit at the junction of Route 119-Corridor G).  Take Route 119 (Corridor G) to the Emerald Road Exit.  Turn right onto Emerald Road (at traffic light), veer right and then turn left into the Ashton Place Shopping Center.  The Ashton Professional Building will be on your left.  Proceed to the building behind the Professional Building—there is a Metro MRI sign.  Free parking is available in the Kroger parking lot.  There is also a handicap parking space location between Ashton Professional Building and Metro MRI.
