A Child's Place. A Healing Space.

We play a big role in our smaller patient's lives. For acutely ill children, or those with chronic illnesses, Thomas provides a warm, supportive atmosphere especially for our younger patients. We encourage and include families to be part of their child's treatment, offering parents open visitation, and allowing one parent to spend the night with their child. We request a family member stay with any child under the age of five.

All of our nurses are Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified. And our staff also works within the community to provide health education to children - such as teaching kindergarten and first grade students how to properly wash their hands to avoid disease.

Not only can you find Thomas nurses at health fairs and events throughout the community, but each year Thomas offers its Children's Health and Safety Fair, an event that has been recognized internationally for the promotion of health, wellness and safety in children.
