Sleep Disorders Center

When a Good Night's Sleep is Only a Dream

When a patient comes to us, either through self-referral or a doctor's referral, the first step is our sleep clinic, where a medical history is taken, and a review of the patients' symptoms is made. Then, a determination is made as to whether the patient needs a sleep study. Some sleep disorders, for example, simply require a change in routine rather than medical treatment. For those who need a sleep study, the next step is a night in our Sleep Disorders Center. We have a very comfortable and high tech Sleep Center that can diagnose and treat sleep disorders such as:
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Narcolepsy
  • Chronic Insomnia
  • Periodic Limb Movement Disorder
And we can also help with special sleep difficulties, such as :
  • Sleep disorders in children
  • Shift Work
  • Sleep and Aging
  • Or simply help you sleep better.
The rooms in the Sleep Disorders Center are very much like hotel rooms, designed to make our patients comfortable, and include a private bathroom. The patient is monitored during sleep via both electronic and video monitoring.

While both are treated with compassionate care, we understand the special needs of our younger patients as well. In fact, the Medical Director of the Center, Dr. Sasidharan Taravath, is a pediatric neurologist.
